The annual International Patent Drafting Competition, which is held at the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional USPTO, takes place at the beginning of each year and offers student teams the opportunity to present their patent applications in front of a panel of judges comprised of patent examiners, practitioners and several high profile guest judges.
Each team is required to pay a registration fee. The fee is $200 USD and is non-refundable. This fee covers the team registration into the competition as well as food and drinks during the competition.
All other expenses, including travel and accommodations, are the sole responsibility of each competing team.
